Helping schools improve from the culture up
We help schools improve by getting the culture right underneath
We’re Chameleon on an Iceberg — a small education consultancy built on decades of real experience in schools. We came together because we saw the same thing again and again: schools improve when the culture underneath is right, and struggle when it isn’t. So that’s what we help with. Between us we bring headship, inspection, coaching, safeguarding and a genuine love of this work — and we’d like to introduce ourselves.

Chameleon on an Iceberg
People ask about the name.
The iceberg came first. It’s the whole idea behind what we do — that what you see on the surface of any school is only ever part of the story. The culture, the relationships, the things nobody says — that’s what sits underneath, and it’s usually what really matters.
The chameleon came from a client of Victoria’s. She said working with Victoria was like having someone there in the thick of it — reading the room, sensing what was really going on — but never making it about themselves. It made her feel safe. We liked that so much we kept it.
Because that’s the work: seeing what’s beneath the surface, and making it safe enough for everyone else to see it too.
